Families traveling with kids will especially enjoy staying at the Sherman House with its large upstairs “Bunkhouse Room” sleeping up to six with plenty of room for games or watching family-friendly videos - both provided in the Bunkhouse. You’ll feel like you just rode in off the range and stepped back into the wild west when you enter the Bunk- house. The queen size rustic pole bed, the kid-sized “tack room” and teepee, and campfire nightlight will definitely capture the kids’ imaginations (and perhaps spark yours as well)! Recapture a relaxing taste of a less hurried era downstairs in the “Blue Room” with its comfortable furnishings and antique accents until ready to retire in the elegant “Prairie Flower Room” under the skylight-exposed stars.

One hundred twenty five years ago, the Sherman House fed hungry travelers and rested weary bones. Today, it provides a comfortable and enjoyable getaway for a new breed of Kansas explorers. Enjoy.
